A story that began in Bergama
It began with a curious child. It continued with a young mind who took seriously the question: “How does this universe work?”
When he graduated from the Physics Department of Middle East Technical University in 1996, he held more than a diploma in his hands — he carried a mind trained to think. Physics had taught him more than formulas: it taught him how to solve complex systems, how to be patient, and how to question what cannot be seen.
But his journey did not remain in the laboratory.
He stepped into the world of technology. At global companies such as Siemens, Oyak Teknoloji, Atos, and NTT DATA, he followed a path that stretched from engineering to sales leadership, from strategy to executive management.
Over the years, he took responsibility in projects worth billions of dollars, led large teams, and became part of transformation programs across multiple industries. Through this journey, he learned something essential:
Technology is powerful.
But its true value lies in how purposefully it is used.
In 2016, by founding ICNN, he did more than bring technology together with art; he built a multidimensional structure connecting diverse industries.
Under the ICNN umbrella:
- Through ICNN Demiryolu, he invested in transportation and infrastructure projects.
- Through ICNN Teknoloji, he focused on IT and digital transformation.
- Through ICNN Enerji, he supported sustainable energy solutions.
- Through ICNN Dezenfeksiyon, he advanced health and hygiene technologies.
- Through ICNN Sanat, he contributed to cultural and cinematic projects.
On the artistic side, he brought real-life stories to the big screen.
With Müslüm, he contributed to one of the most-watched drama films in Turkish cinema history.
Then, with Zübeyde: Analar ve Oğullar, he introduced audiences to the story of one of the strongest maternal figures in Turkish history. Because sometimes, a nation’s memory is told most powerfully through art.
His drive to create led him into yet another field. Inspired by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s words — “If we do not improve this ourselves, who will come and improve it for us?” — and by the legacy of Atatürk Forest Farm, he launched the AOÇ Kahve brand.
Atatürk’s vision of transforming barren land into a productive and sustainable model remains a powerful source of inspiration. Today, he seeks to carry forward that vision and preserve a culture of production for future generations.
Nuri Yıldırım’s story reminds us of this:
A journey that begins with science can extend to technology;
technology can evolve into art;
and art can become collective memory.
A career is never confined to a single title.
Sometimes, the greatest courage lies in bringing different worlds together.
And perhaps the most important question of all is this:
“Does what I create truly become a value?”
